My 2026 Lunar New Year season was filled with memorable Guzheng performances across California, Texas, and Nevada. I had the privilege of performing in concert halls, cultural institutions, corporate venues, and private celebrations, bringing the sound of this traditional Chinese instrument to diverse audiences in the U.S.

Annie Zhou’s latest Guzheng composition, blending traditional Chinese Guzheng with electric guitar, bass, and drums. Beginning with a solo Guzheng, the piece builds energy, pauses for an improvisation, and continues with driving rhythms. Its open-ended finale mirrors the search for meaning in modern life, creating a cinematic, emotional soundscape where tradition meets contemporary expression.
